Our Self Portrait is a project we worked on in our Technology class. We had to choose a picture of ourselves, and with the help of various different tutorials provided to us by Ms. Aaronson, we were to replicate the original picture using Photoshop. We began step by step with converting our image from color to black and white, and then trace our face and facial features. Our project soon began to progress and advance as we received new tutorials. I learned a numerous amount of new skills, but I also learned to not stay wrapped up in the guidelines that were given to us. Give yourself a little bit of room to branch out and explore on your own and bring out your own personal liking to your project. In relation to our school wide learning goals, this project has increased and broadened my knowledge of technology. I am now familiar with the software and the basics of how Photoshop works.
